Ettevalmistus

  1. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a knife tip. Mix them into the cream and milk and heat everything up, the mixture should not boil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer.
  3. Slowly add the hot mixture of cream, milk and vanilla seeds to the mixture of egg yolks and sugar.
  4. Pour the mixture into ceramic or glass cups and place them in a large ceramic baking tray.
  5. Cover the cups with aluminum foil.
  6. Pour boiling water into the large ceramic baking tray, which should reach almost to the upper edge of the cups.
